Homework

Homework provides the opportunity for children to extend and reflect upon their “in–school” experiences. Homework tasks are normally related to class work, particularly in numeracy and literacy.

Children of all ages are encouraged to read daily at home. The amount and type of homework will vary according to the needs of the child and the class. We hope that parents will support the school and encourage the children to appreciate the value of homework.

We try to ensure that homework does not become laborious or a matter of anxiety for the children and we recognise that many children engage in different types of social, sporting and creative activities and need the time to do so. Copies of the homework policy are available for parents who wish to receive one.
